Tasha in the United States? Yes, please.
Tiger JK recently announced that his wife, Tasha, will be making her entry into the United States soon after receiving love calls from Far East Movement. This may possibly be one of the best pieces of news I’ve heard this year.
Unlike many Korean artists who have made attempts into the American music industry, I think Tasha has a pretty strong chance of success. A lot of her music has a westernized feel to it (albeit it’s probably due to her growing up in the US) and her singing voice has a distinct R&B vibe. In my opinion, the few artists who tried to debut in the US fell short because of the lack of connection with American listeners. Yes, Se7en is a great singer, but if his music is filled with Engrish, most people are not going to take him seriously. And while the Wonder Girls are talented in their own aspects, the concept of a pop girl group in the US is pretty unexplored to date.

I’m super excited for her US debut, what do you think?

I just hope FEM don’t make her start releasing club tracks like their own but I doubt they’ll change for her : / I don’t know, we’ll see
I hope they just let her do her own thing rather than try to change her to fit American standards!
Yeah, I agree but we’ll see, for now let’s just hope : |
What’s American standard? Hip hop is hip hop, and nowadays there are djs all over the world (especially europe) remixing almost any song out there so in the end there is always a club version or a version that people will like to which is how some people are first exposed to. If they like it then they’ll look for the original.
